Old Fashioned Iced Oatmeal Cookies

Feeling a bit nostalgic one day, I decided to whip up a batch of Iced Oatmeal Cookies. We were having friends join us for a picnic later that day and I was unsure of their dessert taste. Wanting to have something on hand that would require no time to make, I thought back to my favorite summer snack, Iced Oatmeal Cookies.

I was super excited when I researched on Pinterest and came across Mother Thyme's recipe. It was terrific, easy to follow, and just took a few minutes to make. Everyone gathered around the kitchen as soon as I began baking questioning, what's in the oven?

Multiple times throughout the day, I was complimented on the cookies. They were very easy to ice, and the kids ended up helping to dip the cookies. Which went well, as they were sturdy and held up nicely. The clean-up was quick as well, which makes this a perfect recipe in my book.
